Instructor: Terri Butler
Instructor Bio: Terri was born into sewing. Her parents owned a sewing company in Minnesota, where she was lucky enough to work with her family for 26 years. After a couple of non-sewing related adventures, her days are now filled with the joy of quilting. Her quilting journey started when she moved from Minnesota to New York State in 2008. Now living in Piney Flats, TN, Terri spends her days designing quilts, writing quilt patterns, and doing her own quilting on a hand-guided Innova longarm. Unlike many quilters, she is not a fabric collector. She loves fabric, but does not feel the need to own it all. She does, however, have an ENORMOUS love of sewing tools and equipment. She can hardly pass up a new gadget, or product. But, if she doesn't fall in LOVE with a new tool or product, it is GONE! Having a background in industrial sewing, she knows what it is like to work with quality equipment, and does not waste her time with things that do not live up to the hype. When it comes to a sewing machine, her favorite is her Singer 301. She currently teaches Tucker University, a series of classes featuring Studio 180 tools. She designs small projects for her students to practice using their new tools and posts them from time to time as free downloads on the patterns page of her website.
