Beginning Quilting 101 - Cutting and Piecing
Understand the terminology, types of pre-cuts, rulers, cutters, mats, templates, learn cutting and piecing
We will create a throw size quilt 55 x 72, pattern: Rotation
Supplies Needed:
2 fat quarters, different colors
1 - layer cake or 24 10" squares (different colors)
1 - 2.5" solid color strip pack (jelly roll) or 24 2.5" strips for background fabric (white, cream, black, grey, etc)
1/2 yd border fabric same solid color as the strip pack
5/8 yd binding fabric (can be purchased later)
cotton thread and bobbins matching your background fabric
cutting mat
rotary cutting with a sharp blade
ruler 6" x 24" or longer
ruler 4" x 12" or similar size
sewing machine in good working order, bring your MANUAL
1/4" sewing foot with guide (optional)
