VA Intro to Machine Quilting

You can learn to machine your own quilts on your domestic sewing machine.  Save money and express your quilt artistry from start to finish. It's fun and not nearly as difficult as you think.

In this class, you will learn to prepare your quilt sandwich, setting up your quilting workspace, prepare your machine for perfect quilting tensions, different methods to mark your quilt, stitch in the ditch, stipple, follow a pattern, free motion work, using rulers to quilt, and even how to quilt feathers.

Skill Details: Beginner
Requirements: Bring Sewing Machine with free motion quilting foot, walking foot, extension table (if you have one), machine quilting thread, extra bobbins, three quilt sandwiches 20" x 20", blue wash away marking pen or Frixion pen.
