Thank you for asking! We are a bunch of sewing and embroidery nuts. ;)
I am a homeschooling mother of seven, two of whom are still at home, and a grandmother of nine. I have been married to Cris for 25 years and we have lived all over the US. I am a US Army veteran, the daughter of a USAF vet, the step-daughter of a US Navy vet, the wife of a US Army vet, my eldest son is a US Army veteran, and my eldest daughter is a US Army veteran who was married to a USAF veteran and is now married to a US Marine veteran.
I have been sewing since I was a young teen, doing graphic design and desktop publishing since 1996, designing award winning websites since 1998, embroidering since 2001, and professionally digitizing since 2007. I am a published writer with articles written for Designs By SiCK, 2 Hearts @ Home Catholic Magazine, and one of my websites was featured in The Catholic Home Educator. I love to create beautiful embroidery designs with minimal jumps and thread changes. I specailize in free standing lace. In 2011 I attended Baby Lock® technical training and became a certified service technician, which means I am qualified to repair Baby Lock® sewing and embroidery machines that are still under warranty. In 2012 I completed training and received certification on Designer's Gallery® Software.
Yes, I am a busy person but customer service is very important to me. If you have a problem with the store or with a product, please let me know. I will work to resolve your issue as quickly as I can. Please remember though that this is not some big corporation with many employees, it is a two woman operation (smile).
Hi! I'm Judie. Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. I am the owner of Attic Treasures & Sew Easy Sewing.
I am married to the most wonderful man, John. He married me 36 years ago (December 1979) and in doing so, took on 3 nearly teen-aged step-daughters ages 8, 9, and 12. He loves them and has raised them as his own. I have three daughters, a step-son, a foster-daughter, 19 grandchildren (plus 3 in Heaven), and 13 great-grandchildren.
The Attic Treasures physical store has been open for about 12 years and the webstore has been online for 10. The sewing school was previously conducted in my home for about 12 years. I have been teaching different sewing techniques to individuals for about 31 years. We became an authorized Singer® retailer in 2004 and an authorized Baby Lock® retailer in 2005.
I have a genuine love of sewing that I wish to spread to all who visit our store and our website. Thank you for spending a little time with us today.
May God bless and keep you always,
Our mission is to inspire in others the desire to sew at home by teaching the old techniques of hand sewing as well as the new computer technology that has made sewing so much fun and so much easier.
